Hyundai Helps Drivers Recover from Superstorm Devastation

It seems Hurricane Sandy disappeared just as quickly as she came. But, that doesn't mean that her aftermath has been any too easy to recover from. In fact, even today, many people are still being inconvenienced and experiencing the devastation that she wrought.

And as it stands, the American Red Cross is predicting days and even several weeks of clean-up efforts are going to be necessary. Which is why so many companies have decided to donate to the cause, and Green Family Hyundai is proud to announce that Hyundai is one of them.

So, how is it helping?

Actually, the answer is twofold.

For starters, Hyundai Motor America is making a generous donation in the amount of $500,000 to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts. And since it is in the midst of massive reconciliation, Hyundai is also encouraging its employees, dealers and other partners to volunteer or provide support in any way they can.

The second thing Hyundai is doing, is offering a $750 incentive allowance to be used towards a new Hyundai model to replace any car (regardless of make or model) that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy, and owned by residents of FEMA-deemed disaster areas.

"Hyundai has a strong presence in the Northeast region and we are anxious to help individuals affected by the hurricane," explains Dave Zuchowski, executive vice president of sales for the automaker. "Not only is Hyundai offering a $750 customer incentive coupon, but Hyundai Motor Finance will also offer support to those impacted by the storm by offering a 90-day payment deferral program in areas where the law allows and in states designated by FEMA."1
